This bride & groom liked Tim's sax music!

repertoire - favourite songs for all occasions

I BELIEVE IN OFFERING THE WIDEST POSSIBLE REPERTOIRE OF BACKING TRACKS INCLUDING  LOVE SONGS TO HI-ENERGY PARTY HITS.  MUSIC IS DEEPLY PERSONAL: JUST ASK ME TO PERFORM YOUR FAVOURITES!                                     I offer an extensive choice of music, classified by genre, which I expand and update with new additions.  If a song you want isn't there, I'll do my utmost to obtain a good backing track and the sheet music and learn it.  Why not get your hands on my latest version for more details?

You may be surprised to learn that many couples request football anthems - one couple even had one for their recessional!  Team songs already requested include Marching on Together (the Leeds United song), Tom Hark (Burnley), Pigbag (Middlesbrough), Going Home (Newcastle United) as well as the immortal You'll Never Walk Alone (Liverpool - but a great song by any standard).

sax & dj

If I'm playing freestyle alongside a DJ, the world's your oyster: you can choose ANY song or dance track, whether in my Repertoire or not.  I love improvising to Ibiza-style dance tracks, which allow the sax even more freedom than most other tunes.

some wedding music ideas

The  Service/Ceremony                                                                                                                                                                            Here are some random suggestions for wedding ceremony music - it's quite a wide-ranging list.  Maybe have something slow/dignified for the bride's entrance, but something upbeat as you leave as man and wife.  There are no hard and fast rules, except that you not allowed any religious music at a civil ceremony.

* Music as your guests await the bride's entrance: Have a Nice Day (Stereophonics); God Only Knows (Beach Boys, as featured in 'Love Actually'); Our Love is Here to Stay (Gershwin); Marry You (Bruno Mars); It Takes Two (Marvin Gaye); Hopelessly Devoted to You (Olivia Newton-John, from 'Grease'); If We Hold On Together (Diana Ross, as performed in the animation 'A Land Before Time'); What A Difference A Day Made (Dinah Washington); This Is It (Melba Moore); Feeling Good (Nina Simone).

* Music to walk down the aisle (the Processional): At Last (Etta James); Canon in D (Pachelbel); From This Moment On (Shania Twain); Wonderful World (Louis Armstrong); Wedding March 'Here Comes The Bride' (Wagner); Grand March from 'Aida' (Verdi); A Thousand Years (Christina Perri); Beautiful in White (Westlife); You Are The Reason (Calum Scott); All of Me (John Legend).

* Music for the Signing of the register:  I've been asked to play anything from favourite love-songs to classical - and even an Irish air on Irish whistle at this stage of the service/ceremony, so anything goes - almost!

* Wedding songs for your exit as husband and wife (the Recessional): Don't Stop Believin' (Journey); Higher & Higher (Jackie Wilson); Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now (Starship); Signed, Sealed, Delivered (Stevie Wonder); Better Together (Jack Johnson); L.O.V.E. (Nat King Cole); Make Your Own Kind of Music (Paloma Faith); Can You Feel It (The Jacksons); Wedding March (Mendelssohn); Happy (Pharrell Williams).

For a church service I offer a dedicated music list of traditional wedding marches and other popular classical melodies backed by a church organ.  The saxophone sounds spectacular in a historic church building but just imagine the magnificent sound of sax and organ playing music together for the bride to walk down the aisle!

The Welcome Drinks Reception                                                                                                                                                                   I suggest a lively start followed by a mixture of favourite love songs and upbeat songs - your wedding party will love the presence of an actual musician, and especially a saxophonist.

The Photography/Canapés Interval                                                                                                                                                       Following your ceremony, your photographer will move you and your guests to various locations at your venue for the photographs, but during your bride & groom snaps your guests will remain within the vicinity of my entertainment, so you may wish not to have your own favourite songs at this stage.

The Wedding Breakfast                                                                                                                                                                       Generally you'll want quiet background music in order to avoid disturbing conversation, but a few bright, cheerful tunes at strategic moments make a huge difference - especially my singalongs to finish off with!  Why pay out for singing waiters?  :)

The Evening Interval                                                                                                                                                                                         With a large quantity of party and other lively favourites available to choose from, you can't fail to feel the excitement as your evening reception approaches.

The Evening Reception                                                                                                                                                                                   * Your First Dance:  Wind Beneath My Wings (Bette Midler); Can't Help Falling In Love (Elvis Presley); Those Arms of Mine (Otis Redding, featured in 'Dirty Dancing'); Close To You (The Carpenters); Crazy (Patsy Cline); From This Moment On (Shania Twain); I've Been Waiting For You (ABBA, from 'Mamma Mia 2'); The Greatest Day Of My Life (Take That); I've Had The Time Of My Life (Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes, from 'Dirty Dancing').                                                                                                           The romantic sax is ideal for the First Dance, then go back to your DJ to take the excitement even higher.  As already mentioned, you also have the option of me playing some of my tracks during the evening, or freestyle with your DJ.

Your delight is GUARANTEED!
