some wedding music ideas

The  Service/Ceremony                                                                                                                                                                            Here are some suggestions for wedding ceremony music.  There are no hard and fast rules, except that you not allowed any religious music at a civil ceremony.

* Music to walk down the aisle (the Processional): At Last (Etta James); Canon in D (Pachelbel); From This Moment On (Shania Twain); Wonderful World (Louis Armstrong)

* Music for the Signing of the register:  Just The Two of Us (Bill Withers); Love Is All Around (Wet, Wet, Wet); Groovy Kind of Love (Phil Collins); Wind Beneath My Wings (Bette Midler)

* Wedding songs for your exit as husband and wife (the Recessional): Don't Stop Believin' (Journey); Higher & Higher (Jackie Wilson); Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now (Starship); Signed, Sealed, Delivered (Stevie Wonder)

For a church service Tim offers a dedicated music list of traditional wedding marches and other popular classical melodies backed by a church organ.  The saxophone sounds spectacular in a historic church building but just imagine the magnificent sound of sax and organ playing music together for the bride to walk down the aisle!

At Tim & Lorraine's wedding, the bride entered the ceremony to We Have All The Time in the World (Louis Armstrong); during the signing of the register it was What A Difference A Day Makes (Dinah Washington) and Celebration (Kool & The Gang); the recessional was Higher & Higher (Jackie Wilson).

The Drinks Reception                                                                                                                                                                                 Tim suggests a lively start followed by a mixture of favourite love songs and upbeat songs - your wedding party will love the presence of an actual musician, and especially a saxophonist.

The Photography/Canapés Interval                                                                                                                                                       Following your ceremony, your photographer will move you and your guests to various locations at your venue for the photographs, but during your bride & groom snaps your guests will remain within the vicinity of Tim's entertainment, so you may wish not to have your own favourite songs at this stage.

The Wedding Breakfast                                                                                                                                                                       Generally you'll want quiet background music in order to avoid disturbing conversation, but a few bright, cheerful tunes at strategic moments make a huge difference - especially Tim's specials to finish off with!

The Evening Interval                                                                                                                                                                                          With Tim's large quantity of favourite chart and club hits available to choose from, you can't fail to feel the excitement as your evening reception approaches.

The Evening Reception                                                                                                                                                                                   You also have the option of Tim playing some of his tracks during the evening, or freestyle with your DJ.

Even if you're unsure, contact Tim with your date, venue & times. Call 07917 690931, email or complete the form on the Weddings page.
